The way the words say what I mean, how they twist and turn language, how they connect with people. How they build community.

Loved the wisdom of my group…could have talked for another hour!
The prompts were amazing. in fact I feel like I will live with them beyond today.
I like that the prompts can be interpreted in different ways. Each person may think of them differently.
It went by so quickly. We were able to share and relate in such a short amount of time!
The power of writing I believe it is there when the writing is happening, but also afterwards… is the train of reflection that comes after, and even more when writing becomes conversation.
It was such a lovely parenthesis of time to respond to the prompts, and then have a large expanse of time to share. The pace allowed for thought and conversations.
The juxtaposition of the prompts unearthed powerful themes for me to continue to revisit.
Even though the writing part went by fast, the sharing in small groups went by faster. It was so interesting to hear my group members thoughts, ways of thinking, and ways of experiencing the world. One of my favorite ways to learn!
The objects lead to stories that were so personal and moving. Great conversation prompts. So happy that we got to reconnect as a group from our previous activity.
This was a great exercise. It was easy for all of us (people in the chat) to select the object. I think it was a great way to open up and share personal things. We just met his morning!!!!!
I loved hearing about the power of Marimar’s hairbrush and how it connects to a ancestral narrative.
Now I need to make myself some worry beads, it sounds nice to have something always there to hold on to.
Susanna illuminated another dimension of my personal ritual of using Florida water to protect me. She imagined that it was also an act of recognizing the body as a holy space…
Technology has afforded us a new landscape for exploring how we move between the public and the private.
I only know that learning to believe in the power of my own words has been the most freeing experience of my life. It has brought me the most light. And isn’t that what a poem is? A lantern glowing in the dark.
